Designing a digital platform for global impact
Norrsken is a foundation backing entrepreneurs who are building solutions to the world’s most urgent problems. Their new platform needed to reflect that mission, while feeling clear, scalable, and deeply human.
I led the design of the platform, a space built to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and change makers around shared impact. My goal was to translate Norrsken’s bold vision into a digital experience that felt trustworthy.
I created a modular system that balanced editorial storytelling with simple, scalable flows, making room for everything from venture profiles to community events. Working closely with product, brand, and development, I introduced patterns for navigation, layout, and tone that were optimistic, flexible, and built to grow.
Translating brand values into a flexible, user-first platform
As the lead designer on the project, I was responsible for shaping the experience end-to-end. This included defining the visual direction, building a modular design system, and working closely with developers and brand to ensure the platform felt both mission-driven and easy to use.
– Led product design from early discovery to launch.
– Owned the visual direction, UX flows, and interface design.
– Created a scalable design system and pattern library.
– Collaborated with product, brand, and engineering teams throughout.
Discovery
Problem & Goals
The platform needed to support multiple content types, ventures, events, stories, and the Norrsken fund all while making it feel connected and intuitive. The design had to communicate ambition without overwhelming users.
Project goals
– Communicate a big, bold mission with a sense of calm and clarity.
– Balance editorial storytelling with structured user flows.
– Design a flexible system that could scale with Norrsken’s growth.
Outcome & Impact
A trusted foundation for long-term digital growth
The result was a cohesive, user-centered experience that elevated Norrsken’s global presence. The new platform serves as a scalable foundation for future content, partnerships, and product development.
